The Helpline's primary service is for people living in zip codes 98109, 98119, and 98199. Within those three zip codes there are three shelters and close to 1200 shelter beds or subsidized housing units.
We provide financial assistance to individuals and families living in our service area who are facing hardship or short term crises, with priority
assistance for families, seniors, and people with disabilities. Many of our clients are people who have always worked hard and followed the rules until one
event changes everything ie. emergency surgery, a car accident, an unexpected job loss, and they don't have the safety net many of us take for granted.
Our clothing bank, emergency food services, and bus tickets are available to anyone living in the Seattle area.
