Queen Anne's premier summer event hosted 650 participants last year who
walked or ran the Crown of the Hill to support our neighbors in need. This
event, sponsored by Queen Anne Helpline, promotes neighborhood pride in our tradition of
being an inclusive, compassionate community.
Did you know that some of our neighbors are on the brink of homelessness,
unable to pay for prescriptions, threatened to lose utilities?
Although we live and work in an affluent neighborhood, not everyone is secure. Many
are elderly living on fixed incomes, others are the working poor, some are mentally
ill. Queen Anne "Neighbors Helping Neighbors", is here
to reach out to these vulnerable people in our community.
Race day for the Crown of Queen Anne Fun Run/Walk is Saturday, July 14 - a jaunt
along the historic boulevard, through the buisness district, and among the streets of
our neighbors homes.
Your partnership with us in creating and exciting race while reaching out to the needy
in our community is essential, and we invite you to take a leadership role. we ask
for your sponsorship of the fun run/walk at the level most appropriate for you.
Please carefully consider how you can best support our neighbors in need.
