Please fill out the volunteer application below and someone from Queen Anne Helpline will reach out to you with more information about upcoming volunteer opportunities. Throughout the year, we have a variety of opportunities, some related to events and others related to our food and clothing bank. There is something for everyone! Types of volunteering
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer both during and outside of our regular hours! Additionally, if you're interested in hosting a food or supply drive in your school, office, place of worship, or other community space, please reach out and we would be happy to help!
Resource Support Volunteers:
This volunteering happens outside of the office on your own time, so it's a great option for those who aren't available during our regular hours! Resource Support Volunteers sign up for a certain week (either on a regular basis or just here and there as you are available) to help fill our shelves with a few select items that our neighbors are most in need of at that time. If you sign up to be a Resource Support Volunteer, we'll reach out to you on the Monday of your week and let you know what our neighbors are in need of that week. Often, it will be food items (like canned fruits and veggies or oatmeal packets) or hygiene products (like toothbrushes or deodorant). You can spend whatever time works for you that week gathering those resources, either by getting them yourself with a quick Costco run or collecting them from neighbors, your book club, friends, or other sources. Then you can just drop them off anytime that we're open! We are currently accepting new Resource Support Volunteers! Send us an email to sign up.
Front desk/reception volunteers:
This volunteering happens in 3-hour shifts during our regular client hours. Volunteers at the front desk welcome clients in and help them to navigate our resources. They also help by answering the phones to schedule appointments for clients and use the computer to manage appointments in the calendar as well ask keeping track of clients and all outgoing resources. Friendly, welcoming, and organized neighbors welcome! These roles are currently full, but if you fill out an application below and note that you are available during our regular hours, we may reach out as slots opens up.
Sorting room/clothing bank volunteers:
This volunteering also happens in 3-hour shifts during our regular client hours. These volunteers help us keep the food, clothing, and hygiene shelves organized by sorting through in-kind donations as they arrive and putting them where they belong on the shelves for our neighbors to shop from. They also help by assembling bags of food for individuals and families. These roles are currently full, but if you fill out an application below and note that you are available during our regular hours, we may reach out as slots opens up.
